Had the 383 pulled from my'74 Cuda and taken to my machine shop for a rebuild....baaaad news when they got inside, as they'd need to resleve one cylinder due to a ring breaking and scoring the sidewall.
Now for the dilemma....they can either rebuild the 383, or for $300 more, they'll take a core 440 block that they have and build it up for me.
Which way should I go??? Not being a numbers matching car, the 440 seems to be the way to go, as there's not replacement for displacement, and I assume the resale value of the car (not that I'm ever ever gonna sell this car) would be higher with the 440. What's y'all thoughts? I need to decide by Monday.
Thanks
