engine is in baby!
« on: September 28, 2005 - 12:54:21 PM »
And I have got to figure out a way to motorize or ratchetize my engine leveller. I bought one of those cheapie Harbor Freight models and it worked well when pulling the engine out but was a mortal PAIN trying to get the engine back to proper horiz position once it was started back in. Was too stiff trying to bring the transmission end back up. (and dont think I didnt grease the shaft!)  Maybe I could take that crappy handle off and weld the head of a bolt on or something?  Anybody modded theirs?

I am going for a grape flavored version of Redline and Rev's Challenger. I put a few scratches on my freshly painted firewall in the process but I think she'll be alright.

Mike that looks awesome!  I think we got our leveler from Northern a couple of years ago and it's worked great with three different engine pulls so far.  There have been a couple of things we've bought from Harbor Frieght that hasn't been up to snuff...but I still love going there!

Mike,

Looks great!  Love that purple.  Got a question if you don't mind.  Where did you get the PS pressure hose?  I am having problems finding the right one for my car with Saginaw pump.  Advance Auto gave me one for I believe a federal pump.  What kind of ends does yours have?

Thanks,
Dan
