Noob here!
« on: September 29, 2005 - 09:41:52 PM »
Hey everyone, just wanted to say what's up?! I'm from San Diego and I've had a 71 318 auto Barracuda now for 4 years, finally getting around to restoring it, it's currently got a 440 with a 4 speed(coincidentally out of a 71 318 4 speed barracuda). I'm sure I'll be on and off of here to pose some maybe lame questions and hopefully some good ones.

I'll need a lot of help I'm sure before the car is done.

-Tommy

okay okay, let me see if I can conjure up an image of the engine bay. Again, WORK IN PROGRESS. I'd take a picture of the body, but the condition of it embarasses me too much LOL. I start workign on that next month. But here's a pic of the engine bay, no paint app yet, that was a can of bahama yellowish paint I had lying around to seal up the rust spots after I blasted it.

Again, it's still getting painted when I get further down the line.

This is an old pic too, I've gotten rid of the A/C and it's now got just a heater, and the shocks got replaced so it's no longer "wrong." I'm not goin witha numbers resto, just hopes that it'd look somewhat stock.

Welcome!  That engine bay looks pretty nice!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Hey Tommy, welcome to the board.  I doubt you could show us a picture so bad that we all we would be shocked and horrified at.  We have seen some REALLY bad cars come back to life here.  Don't be shy about your car...we're hear to help...not ridicule!
Looking forward to watching the progress.

BTW...there are no lame mopar questions!
