The headliner is the standard Challenger liner.

An SE headliner has a rich Velour / Felt material covering a hardboard.   Way different than the perforated material your showing in the pics.

BTW   if that Radio works....   thats about a  550$ radio.  (insert thumbs-up smiley)

Do you have the 3 speaker Dash and  F/R Fader knob to go with the radio ?

  I'm curious now as to how the door panels had to be ordered to receive the carpet strip along the bottom. I've seen them on leather interiors and cloth and vinyl interiors but not vinyl only interiors. Does anyone have a 70 Challenger with an all vinyl interior that includes the carpet strip? If so, what's your interior code?

Only leather and cloth and vinyl interiors received the carpeted door panels.  Standard Challengers also did not receive the wood grain inserts on the door panels until sometime in the December time frame and Deputy's never had them at all.

The radio does work ( Smiely)

 I do have a 3 speaker dash but I do not have the fader switch  because I have no rear speakers.
 Was that optional rear speaker and fader?

When I found the car it was very complete I am the 3rd owner and I truly believe it has been untouched.Nothing had been taken off the car or had been dismantled anything you see apart in the pictures I have done.

It was parked in 1987 ( 1st owner) than bought in 93 taken to a garage and parked (2nd Owner) until I bought it in 05 (3rd owner) The 2nd owner must have had a crystal ball and saw the future of these cars. At one time he owned 7 Challengers and Cudas. All of theses cars he bought and parked.

It looks to be an unusally interior optioned car.
White vynal top,White longitudinal stripe
Black leather interior,Thumb radio, carpet door panels, ashtray in rear seat panels

I had a 70 se only that I thought had vinyl seats but when I went to look at the decoding of the vin that my buddy from chrysler did for me he told me that HRX9 means that the seats were Black, leather with vinyl buckets I guess I didn't read it when he gave it to me!! duh !!!!! anyways !! the se had the carpet strips on the door panels!! and the seats sure looked vinyl to me!!!!!!

My challenger,which is a deputy, has wood grain on the door panels, and a high impact color. The paint was an option.

If your screen name is also the color of your car then you must have a '71 Coupe.  The interior trim levels were different between a '70 Deputy and a '71 Coupe.

gomange RT/SE I don't think anyone has answered your question about the number 035805 and according to the way my buddy at chrysler decoded my vin tag that means it was the 35,805 car built the year your car was built! also was there a letter before that number? He did my 70 se which was JH29g0b191472 and he told me it meant

j = challenger
h= highline
29  sports hard top
g= 318
0= 1970
b= Hamtramic, MI
1=(he didn't know)
91,472= the number of challengers that had rolled off the assembly line!!!
I hope that helps!!
I know more than you needed but there was something missing in your decoding and I couldn't figure it out so I figured I would just post what he did for me!!!
I found it interesting that mine was a JH29 but had se emblems on it AND a small back window!

Actually in the case of your car yours was the 92471 built in the 100001 numbering sequence.  VON's also began with 00-09 and also letter codes which meant special things, in the case of 035805 it was a car that was ordered by the Chrysler Zone 3 district office.

Just got this reply from Galen Govier

From your fender tag information, I can tell you that your SE door panels are correct, because you have a Leather Interior.

The 340, 383 and most 440-4bbl cars have N42 with N95.  It's the 440-6PK and Hemi cars with N95 that did not get N42.

Thanks for the help.  So the 03585 on the thrid line from the top of my fender tag notes it came from zone 3??   Is that correct.   Can you tell anything else from this.     My vin number is 114107 or something close to that..    thats not the exact number.    What does the A05 protection group mean??   Was this the delayed headlight shutoff thing that kept the lights for set period of time?

Thanks everyone for your help!!

I always believed it to be a deputy because it has fixed rear windows (no rear window cranks)
