am/fm/cassette duo
« on: October 01, 2005 - 01:04:19 PM »
I have an am/fm unit with a floor mounted cassette .  color is black and it is in beautiful shape. the microphone is missing as is one of the cassette  knobs. ( it may be in my garage some where?)  I have had this sitting on the shelf for about 15 years and it did work then ,I have not tried it since then but can't think of any reason it wouldn't. I have no idea what to ask for it . but i have seen a broken shell on ebay going for 250.00 !!! that said, i must state that I dont hold much confidence in ebay. feel free to email me at mbaird@lylepearson.com or post back and i will try to keep an eye on the board

I was hoping that some of you guys (or gals) could give mean idea of what the current value of this setup is.  I have tried to find one online for comparison over the last 2 years, but only find bases or shells for sale.

If this is for an E-Body, I've only seen the casette mounted to the console... but I guess you could mount it right to the floor too. I have seen these go for $500 or so in decent shape. The microphone is available after-market from Year One. If you are including the AM/FM radio in the deal, I really don't know what you could ask. You might have a gold mine here.
