any MPH guesses?? i figure IF the car dont hook  - the MPH will still be close  ( HP)

i guess over 100 mph.. and i would be happy with a low 13 - we had the machine work sent out BT otherwise - we built it... ( subtract 5 seconds off ET for that one..)

we'll find out tomorrow night when we take t to the track..

I'm gonna stretch it out there and give you 13.9 @ 103.5 MPH. I've driven those 383's and a fresh good running setup could pull that off! Good Luck!! What's your guess?

launching the 4 speed with street tires will KILL the et.. so I think your actually close - I'm hoping for mid 13... BUT the MPH should be consistant - it's gotta be over 102 - thats what I do with my smallblock and he has ALOT more torque...

I cant wait to line em up.... tonights the night!!!

I agree street tires don't cut it.
I ran my 70 Challenger last summer in the 1/8 mile and with street tires and a automatic with a 3000 stall converterI ran 8.7 at 80.45 and that was leaving it in drive and pulling off the starting line until it shifted into 2nd gear then dumping it and I still spun thru 2nd gear. My buddy was running his 70 challenger with a 440+6  with drag radials and he was hooking up. His times were 7.6 at 81.95 mph. So mph wise we were very close but et was way off. So I would say your times will be  14.4 at 98 mph.

PS Do we win a free ride if we guess right ???

UPDATE!!!

after it raining all day - and drying up JUST in time for track time  we went...
100 % humidity
70 degrees most of the night

dad drove the challenger  - I drove the cuda
we got 4 runs in
each time he kept raising the launch RPM from 1200 to 1800 at the end.. the car hooked off the line thru first - but second gear powershifting made it either wheel hop for a few seconds OR slide sideways... YIPPEE!!!

first run out was as soon as we got there we pull in the staging lanes and they open them -
he ran a 14.5 @ 98 w/ a 2.4 -  60'  - he left at about 1000 rpm
I ran a   13.8 @ 102 w/ a 2.2 -60' - I lost traction with an off idle stomp

2nd run
he ran a 14.6 @ 98 w / 2.43 60' leaving at 1200
I ran a 13.3 @102 w/ 1.93 60' leaving at 1500

3rd run
he ran a 14.47 @98.62 w / 2.39 60' leaving at 1500
I ran a 13.5 @101.9 w/1.97 60' leaving at 2 grand
both cars were hot for that since there was all kinds of delays in the staging lanes

4th and FINAL run - hehe you'll love this
he ran a 14.3 @ 93 - the best ET of the night BUT let off BEFORE the end... it was his best run, second grabbed a little better, he left at 1800 and it grabbed...but he got out of it too early at the top... ooh well..
I ran a 13.37 @102 1.9 60'

Both cars have 3.23's
Both  cars have 245 60 14's with 24 lbs of air in them
He runs hi po manifolds thru full 2 1/2 exhaust / I run uncapped headers
he weighs somewhere between 3800 4000 lbs... but I'm guessing

It was alot of fun... We raced 3 out of 4 times and I never got to race my dad at the track before - nor have I ever beat him before... let the bustin begin... actually it already has...
..

I got pix, vid, and timeslips to put up later when I get home from work..
