Your Thoughts On What it's Worth
« on: October 05, 2005 - 09:05:32 AM »
Well I am considering selling my 74 Challenger and wanted your opions on what it is worth. Here is the scoop:

I have owned this car since 1985. I put a 70 front clip on the car due to an accident and changed the rear sidemarker lights to match the front. Also replaced the original blue 74 interior with black 70 interior. Currently has a .30 over 68 440 with a 68 727 torqueflight.

The car is currently a rolling shell. This car was a driver a year ago before I tore it all down for body work. I have a 73 front clip for the car along with new 72-74 quarter skins and new truck extensions. This car is very solid. Floors are original and very solid. The trunk is also original with no rust. It has an R/T hood. It will need new carpet and headliner. The dash pad is an A/C style with no cracks.

I am not looking to part this car out.

Sorry a little long winded but your opinions are appreciated!

Thanks

Jeff

I just looked at a '73 chally , origonally a 318  4-speed car, now with 440 and 727 automatic ,here in Rhode Island , Its all in one piece and driving , the guy is asking $15,000. for it. Its been a long time since I've had any dealings with these cars , but I'm willing to bet , to the right person, you could get at least  . . .  $6,000. for it as is , if everything is there to get it back on the road again.
Just a guess !LOL.

Rollers are tough cars to make a value call on.....you need to find the right person willing to tackle them...it looks like a solid car. It is a later e-body, as we all know they dont have the $$ value of the 70-71 cars. I'd almost say since it's not original, the 70 front clip and rear quarters might make it more valueable than the "correct" 72-4 style. I'd say 5K plus or minus depending on what comes with the car, and who is buying it.

Thanks for the replies.

7000.00 would have me considering very seriously about getting rid of it.
