Home from back surgery
« on: October 06, 2005 - 01:46:31 PM »
Went in yesterday at 10 am for my back surgery, doc said everything went really well.I did fine under the anesthisia(sp) and recovered well enough to come home earlier today.I`m still a little woosy from meds and very sore but hopefully after a couple weeks of rest I`ll be back to feeling good.Just glad to be home as I couldn`t sleep much and the boredom was killing me!

Good to see your doing well!  I'm sure it's good to be home!

Make sure you don't get constipated taking perocet!  (Not joking!)  It tends to slow down the GI tract so everything starts to "back up".
Also since you're not as active for now this will add to the problem.  Make sure you drink lots of water and may need Colace to loosen up things a bit if the process starts slowing down!  Prunes/prune juice is helpful too!
