I kind of thought about bungee jumping, but running off of a cliff to do the paragliding was enough excitement for me!  What is the shot over jet?  While down south I also sea kayaked at Able Tasman, went on a horse trek on the beach, and toured both the Cadbury chocolate factory and the Speights brewery in Dunedin.   :eek4:  After that last one I quickly went out and drank a DB.   I also saw the pancake rocks and Fox glacier.

Speights brewery LMAO!!!!!  :roflsmiley: Yip!!
That's a pretty ugly drop. DB Draught would have done you a world of good!  :grinyes: :drunk:

Shot over jet is where you race along the river in a power boat full of other people and the boat gets within inches of the rock faces, does 180's, 360's and practically scares the crap out of everyone. lol

Here's a link for next time your down: http://www.shotoverjet.com/ (Bring spare undies)
Sounds like you got out and did quite a lot, awesome to see, and awesome to see you had fun.

Cheers mate,
Carl

Wow man looking good!  You are going to pass me up pretty quick.  I was going to work on mine all weekend, but I ran out of Argon/Co2 on Friday evening and I can't get another bottle till Monday.   :banghead:

thanks but i had to put the challenger off to the side for a bit.I got a phone call at 11 am from the guy that was doing the tranny for my 69 cuda.so tristan my son and i went and picked that up.got home and set up to bolt the engine and tranny together and dropped that in.then bolted the nose of the car back on and started to line up the hood and fenders.got a lot done and it feels real good to be this close to getting the 69 back running and driving, she's been apart for 7 long years.

i went to a swap meet today with a bunch of friends.went there with intentions of locating small parts needed for the cuda like clips and nuts and other stuff, but there wasnt any new parts venders for mopars.so i checked out the rear frame rails that they make for the e-bodies and i have to say i was quite impressed.so i ended up buying those for the challenger.I want to get the 69 up and running but will need to locate some parts before i turn the key on that.and this comming sunday will be my 14th wedding anniversary and will be spending some time with my beautiful wife away from the mopars. She puts up with my mopar addiction and gave birth to my two beautiful children so if she would like some time with me,then time with me she will get.but i have a little time this week so we'll see if i cant get the 69 fired up.

Well I am back at it again.  I haven’t been able to do much to the Chally because I started back to work about three weeks ago.  It has been slow going with the car but making some money again is nice.

I started out cutting into the rear of the drivers side rocker.  It was a lot worse off than the passenger side was.  First I fabricated the exterior side of the rocker and then made the interior side that the front spring hanger welds to.  Next up I attached the front frame cap section from Auto Rust Technician and then welded in the reproduction rear section of frame.  I just finished tacking in the rear shock x-member tonight and hopefully in the next couple of days I’ll have the rear x-member in.  After that it will be trunk pan city!

I would LOVE to see your adventure come up as a "sticky" for newbies looking to get into an E-body. The amount of rust accumulated and the way these bodies were designed, they rusted out in a matter of months/years after new, depending on geographical area.

Thus said, you are doing what is pretty much "word in mouth", doing the hardest work on an E-body than anyone I have seen. I have respect for that.

When you're all done, you'll be the poster child for every one of these E-bodies still waiting for a home that everybody  wrote off as "parts cars"....

Keep it all up, I look forward to seeing more pics!  :picture:

:iagree:  They deserve to stand out as examples of the passion and desire they have for the  hobby, no, hobby's the wrong word, it's addiction. That would include most the regulars here on the forum I would dare say.  :grinyes:

Very well said Plum, the word artist may seem misused here, but not really. Artist work with different mediums, but they all have at least one common element. "Vision", they see mentally (no pun intended here) what needs to happen for a plesant and succesful piece of work. Then they just do it. This is an example of a man with vision, talent, and an intense desire to "create" what so many others would have said "impossable" to.  :worshippy

Holy crapoli! :worshippy  I don't know guys, I was close to runninig like hell when I first got mine all apart & compared to this, my patches were small(bout a zillion but small)
The learning thing was probably (well that & the fact that I paid my hard earned cash for the car) what kept me going!
My hats off to ya mann   , all I have to ask is how does it feel when you finally put on some new metal!
I think after all the small stuff was done, when I finally hung the quarters & it started to look like maybe ..... someday..... it will be a car again I was really a proud pappa ! :picture:
The 2 or 3 years that that part took me was actually worth all the blood & sweat!  :naughty: Rich.
