Hmmm 70 Cuda I have found?? Very interesting
« on: October 07, 2005 - 12:48:11 PM »
I have just run across an obscure lil ad in one of our local newspapers.......... 1970 Plymouth Cuda
project 340  automatic.   no motor in storage for 25 plus years.  Body floors and frames in very good  condition.    w/new parts.  $8500        Just bought my RT/SE, just bought my 16 yr old daughter a VW Passat.  Just paid $1300 in insurance for all our cars.      I called about this and got an answer.    Input anyone?   I will give more details as i know.   I realize there is still much to find out.

Rev,  I have been trying to call all afternoon.    They may not get home until late in the afternoon.   Have several questions to ask.   I am wondering what a car like this can be worth or worth after finishing.    Still have much to learn

As vague as that ad is, this could be a deal, or a rip-off. No telling until you see it in person. Yes, it sounds good on the surface. Definitely worth checking into. Let us know what happens.

GoMango, I'd definitely continue to pursue this car.  As stated, it won't hurt any to go and check it out to see if it's really worth possibly purchasing.  Generally, the local cars turn out to be decent deals, or at least that's what I've found out with my experiences. (Bought my '73 after seeing an ad for it in our local paper and talking with the owner prior to going to see it.)  Keep us updated with how things go and good luck!

You know I called that number for 3 days.    I even tried calling later on in the evening.   I kept getting answering machine and I did leave a message.    I of course didnt expect them to call me back but I must have called a dozen or so times...........    This has been on my mind as I wondered if it is something I have missed out on.   It was in a regional trader magazine that comes out weekly.     Time went by after the first 3 days and I just gave up on it.......

Try plugging the number into a whitepages.com reverse phone number search. Either way, keep after it- it seems worthwhile.
