Where can Burpin get the most expensive mint condition original Cuda Steering. Not the Tuff wheel. This is important and need your input.

Hey Burpin.  This guy used to be a member on our board and does great work.  Almost had him redo a tuff wheel for us, but found one in excellent condition for around the same price.  Here's his site...  http://members.shaw.ca/stwheels/

Burpin,
It depends on what year Cuda you are talking about. Say 1970.... you get a rimblow steering wheel for less than a grand, you are lucky. No joke. That wasn't an available option for 72 Cuda's though. Are you looking for a "correct" wheel for the model year?

It does need to be a 72 Cuda steering wheel. It is for the Insurance co so they can reimbursement for Burpins that got burnt up. So I am looking for a quote on an expensive one.

 Ahhh,
Now I see your angle Burpin. To be honest, I don't know that I've seen anything but a Tuff wheel on 72-74's. Maybe someone can correct me there? Anyway, would the insurance company know that your car didn't have a rimblow steering wheel? Are they that up on option codes, or what options in general would be available on a 72 Cuda? Something to ponder(ha,ha).

They would be able to tell from the remains what the wheel looked like as the right wheel for 72-74's would be the 2 spoke wheel, everything else was a 3 spoke.

I can't believe no one else has asked this, but how did the wheel burn Burpin? What else was damaged?

Burpin lost all his white faced gauges. His slicks. a mint condition seat belt set. the steering wheel. a swing set. dirtbike. 2 nice giant bikes. and a bunch of junk. and of course a shed.

Is it true that the rimblow didnt come on the 72 cuda. Burpin wishes Burpin had a build sheet. Or at least know the true history of the car. Would carfax go back that far. does anyone know.

Burpin,
I believe Carfax only goes back to 1980.

Ask Doug. He can give you an estimate of what one in perfect condition would cost.

I didn't know if the 3 spoke woodgrain wheel was still available in 72 or not. In really, really, reallly nice shape... it would be worth more than $100, but I would think $150 tops.
