    I have been looking into a few different cars and was wondering if anyone knew a good website that broke down production numbers....how many cars where each color, motor options, etc. I know for a 1973 340 'Cuda 4 spd with numbers matching motor and transmission. This car is originally white, with black buckets and console, and its a 4spd pistol grip car.  It was in the process of being restored, painted and everything. I was just wondering how rare it is, I can't seem to find a single 73 'cuda that is white.

    I can't help with the color options I believe there is someone (or people) who have a % of color cars made etc.
    I can't really help you at all with production numbers sorry...
    I know I have a few numbers books around, I sold one to a mate and I can't find the other one. lol

    There really is no way to tell how many white, 340 4 speed 73 cudas were built. You can find out how many 1973 340 4 speed cudas were built (1718) and how many white cudas were built, but you cant find out about combinations of options/colors. Ma Mopar did not keep records like that.

    Sounds like it would be a fairly rare car.

    Are you saying that all ebodies came with the pistol grip, or that some 1970 4 speeds came with shifters other than pistol grips?? Just trying to get this clear....

    I'm pretty positive all E-Bodies that came with 4-Speeds had the Pistol Grip shifters. 3-Speeds used the ball.

    I agree with you NZ. you're right. BTW, 3 speed cuda's seem to be more rare than I thought. I haven't seen one in ages. Bet most folks switched em out to a 4.

    The 3-Speeds are rare.....there is a member here and on other boards who owns a 1-6 (I think) Deputy Challenger 3-Speed factory car.

    In 30 years, I think I may have seen 2 or 3. But, I have seen them in other bodies more often.Still, not a lot.

    Had I known 3-speeds were this rare I might not have traded my '70 318/3-speed Barracuda for the AAR I have now.  :lol:

    Found a site a while back that stated that there were only 125 318 3speed convertibles made in 1970. I would think that would be rare... really wanna put the 4 speed in tho   :icon16:

    This wikipedia site says 125 plus 12 Gran Coupe 318 3 speed convertibles.
