Any ideas to keep me from going stir crazy?
« on: October 12, 2005 - 04:35:53 AM »
Almost been a week since surgery and I`m bouncing off the walls like I knew I would! The biggest problem is I`m not supposed to sit for more than 30-40 min. at a time so I can`t sit at the puter, play video game, biuld models etc. All I can do is watch tv sideways on the couch or pace around the house.I still have at least another week to go,AAAARGH!!

Yep, you can either walk or lay around, no prolonged sitting, forgot to warn you about that, lol. But...........you could buy a laptop, streach out and surf the web, that way you can be "safely" active in the prone position, You'll have to wait awhile for "that" toooooooo, lol.

Read a book.  You might not remember it with all the percosets, but you could get a good book read in a week.

So funny, I have the exact opposite problem  of you. I am supposed to sit and stay off my feet for up to 2 weeks. But, they want me to work, which is pretty much a walking job all day. Let's trade... for a day! Tomorrow, I start Physical Therapy. Let's get through this together!! Being wounded sucks!

Too funny! My bosses were hoping to get me back sooner than two weeks giving me light duty stuff sitting in a chair.Of course that was before I knew I am limited to only 30-40 minutes in a chair so unless they buy a couch or bed for the office they won`t be seeing me for while!
