Mopar greetings from a far away place
« on: October 12, 2005 - 02:33:46 PM »
Hi everyone, newbie here

I kinda stumbled in here through dodgecharger.com, apparently that seems to happen every now and then  :)
I'm in Belgium and have a 69 charger which is in Ohio, admin Troy at dc is keeping it safe for me untill I move to Michigan sometime next year. Safe in this case means keep the windows up so no more of nature's little critters can get into it. Untill they find the holes in the floor that is.
It's a project but being a bodyman this is what I love doing, she'll be a beaut. And a daily if I can figure out how to make it un on water...or mud...anything but oil related products.
I used to have a 68 charger but that's sadly long gone. Next car I'll be looking for will most likely be a '70 challenger and probably once i start stripping the charger for it's very needed resto. Ever since i saw a certain white challeneger cross my tv screen I wanted one. Is that as bad as saying 'I want a general lee' ? just curious : )
Are e body prices still higher than b body? I haven't followed the market for a while. I'd be happy with a non matching #'s low option car, I just love the look of it. I guess if I want to find out more about challengers I'd best start reading the posts here, right ?  :D
Here's a few pics of the rusty charger, yes I know it's orange but whoever's in Ohio and has good aim can go paint it flat black, free of charge, don't mess up the windows.

Welcome to the site, Doc74.  At least you have the right guy watching over your car while you're away.  I met Troy this past year at Carlisle and he's a great guy and aspect to this hobby.  Good luck with the project Charger when you get a chance to get to Ohio.

Welcome to the board Doc!  Troy is a great guy (and a member here also).  Loved the pics of your charger...she doesn't look like she's in terrible shape at all.  Where did you find her at?  I see from the background of this pic...our friends here will be interested!

Welcome Doc, and yes, comparably equipped E bodies are still worth more than B bodies. Thats just the way the market dictates.

Thank you all for a warm welcome, I like it here allready.

4cruzin we'll definitely hook up in Michigan and we always travel safe, there's plenty places to go nuts with the 440, the public road isn't one of them as far as me and Em are concerned.
Don't flame me now but she drives an '02 trans am, the ram airLS1 engine, very nice ride, no mopar but it beats the new charger now doesn't it !
Anyway she'd love to have a 68 charger but I'm almost sure now that when I have an e body, she'll want one too.And let's face it, altough none of them are small, the charger is really big and....well... she ain't ...  :D
Rev-It-up I found the charger in Hilliard, Ohio. The reason he sold it to me was too many projects on the lot and there were a few e bodies there.Supposedly he had to sell the charger to start the project AAR, is it true?No clue.
Troy might know since he's the one that picked up the charger, it's too long ago to remember and I'm not gonna speculate.
He truly is an amazing guy, I'm glad to have bumped into him, albeit online.
It seems that more international members pop up lately and that's a good thing imo even if only to let the Americans know that there's worse places to buy gas, I know it's getting high even in the states but I don't think you're at $6.50 a gallon yet, no I'm not joking.  :)
Catch y'all later

Hey Doc, didn't Troy tell you?  He jumped your Charger over a creek on Tuesday. :D

Welcome to CC.com, Doc.
