Thanks for the update PD, looking good, at this rate you will have that hot little ride out running around in no time. Gotta tell you we almost named our white Siberian Husky Pixie Duster, at least we were considering it. She is a little ripper, she won't set still and is always doing something to get into trouble. Her brothers are Hemi, Kuda and Kita. We ended up naming her Haylo. Kind of an oxy moron, in Eskimo "Hay" is snow and my wife and daughter liked Halo so I added the y and everyone is happy.
Keep up the good work Pixie, nice famly project!

its rough trying to keep my sanity through what mom calls the "dull stage".

Its been 2 hours, and the same paint spots are still there on the trunk lid. Its so annoying, but i just can't wait till we get it all finished.

Mom said before we started today that she was GOING TO FINISH THAT FIREWALL!

ha- i think she's more bored than i am.... but oh well. I have some pictures already... but i'll have some more later tonight!

Oh- we might have a dilema. We bought a pint of FM3 PPG paint. But the paint chip we saw looked really more like a purpley-fuschia color... we're gonna test it on something, and see what it looks like. I'll have pictures later...

 Hmmm,
You just might have a one of a kind car in purpley-fuschia. Let us know how it looks, or you can post a pic and we will tell you what we think. We are full of opinions!!!  :grinyes:

Panther Pink does have a bit of a purple hue to it. It also looks very different depending on the lighting.

Check this link;

http://www.pantherpink.com/ken.htm

There are several photos of the same car in different lighting, it is a good example.

Did Mom get the firewall done yet? Or is she  :banghead:

Best of luck with it,
Barry

Sorry to all those "old farts".  :lol2: Guess you'll just have to wait and see later~ hehe.

The week days are rough because dad has work till around dinner, and so we only get his handy work after around 8 pm. So we're gonna put in about another 2 hours or so, and then i'll have pictures.

Alaskan- thanks for that website!! I saw those pictures and thought... well that looks kinda dark, but then went back to when my mom made a "collage" of those seperate cars with similar paint colors (page 6), and the one on that challenger is almost exactly the same as the one on the car that we liked. So thanks for the verification. I feel a lot more confident now!!

Be back later with those pics!

Today was Day 3 of Spring Break '06: Special Car Edition

'Twas a long day today,
just workin in the garage.
After a hard days work,
i need a good massage!!

My fingers are black
from all that grit and grime,
but we got a lot done,
in 10 hours time.

I stripped some paint,
from the cowl,
it just peeled off,
and it wasn't that foul.

The trunk lid, though,
did not cooperate,
it just sat there
and decided to vegitate.

it made me angry
so i moved along,
to a more delightful job,
i had waited for so long!

I got to primer the trunk
with dull ebony paint,
the fumes were so strong,
they almost made me faint!

After this
we took a break,
to regain some strength
and become more awake.

We ate dinner
and watched tv
and soon got up
with much glee

Dad and I soldered several holes,
and mom sand blasted,
i'm glad we're done for the night,
'cause i wouldn't have lasted.

Tomorrow I'll wake up,
and do some more work,
Because I have to finish,
or i'll go berserk!

The End!

-P.D.
