What ever happens, happens. Pixie's car will look just fine no matter when it happens. :grinyes: If it doesn't make it to Carlisle this year then it will next year. Just go along with your folks and have the time of your life!!!  :grinyes:

:iagree: BUT, all her uncles and cousins and sisters are almost as excited as lil Pixie, I won't call myself granpa, but I'd definately be an older uncle  :roflsmiley: Although I do have one teenage (age 13) grandson and a granddaughter who will turn 13 in August.................and I'm proud of that fact, so there.  :roflsmiley: We all were just hoping.

I am hoping too, but every once in a while reality pegs our hopes to a piece of cardboard with a sticky tack.  :pullinghair:

This may be one of those times.  :banghead:

As of now the Pixie Duster is a "Primer Duster" if you will, but fear not. The Davis clan is hard at work inside the cocoon, and once the caterpillar is ready to evolve it will sprout wings and leave the cocoon as the Pixie Duster. It will be brightly colored and light as a spring breeze, bearing the hopes and dreams of the Davis clan and Pixie Duster fans everywhere along with it in it's flight.

Evolving from a Primer to a Pixie is not an exact science, this could take a while. Dusters are soooooo unpredictable.  And moody. :walkaway:

That said, I offer every encouragement to the hardworking crew, and we will be ready to receive the progress reports, setbacks and all as they come. The support staff can not always be right there to help, but we are here for you in more ways than you know.

Goals and dreams seldom run by our schedules, any worthwhile goal is obtainable, dreams are meant to be followed.

Follow your hopes and dreams kids, even if they run a little late from time to time.......

 :wow:

I'd like to say that all your messages are truly encouraging! It just makes me sad to know that it won't get done in time for Carlisle. It would have been great, but we were pushin' it even if we were done by now. But you know I think it's better this way.

Even if I finish like a week or two after Carlisle, it'll still be amazing that we finished it in less than a year! And that was truly my goal. Then i'll be able to go to shows and we will definately have lots of pictures to show of her. The process isn't done. We'll still be working strong till Carlisle, but the Duster won't be there. We might even have PINK by the end of the week and thats something to look forward to by itself.

So, thanks guys for all your ecouraging words. I hope none of you are really disappointed because you know next year is gonna be great. Cudaguy will be there and the pixie will be there. So next year is really something to look forward to.

But for now, we all can just look forward to a great vacation with MOPARS!!  :woohoo:  It's probably the best vacation ever! And to all those who can't make it this year- we'll miss you. Hopefully you'll be able to come out next year, cause I PROMISE "THE PIXIE DUSTER" will be there in 2007.

Again, thanks guys for all your kind and encouraging words. I really appreciate them! But the journey isn't anywhere near over! So- keep 'em coming. I'll need them to finish the car!

Sorry it won't be done for Carlisle but it's better not to rush it as many others have said.

You've done more in a year than I'll every get done!  You and your family should be proud, Pixie!

It's just awe inspiring seeing how the whole family is pitching in together to make this all happen!

Pixie,

You definitely don't want to rush it. It is a long haul to Carlisle, and I'm guessing the Challenger will be on the trailer.  :grinyes: What I'm getting at is there will be a few bugs for sure to work out before you take it on a long trip. Heck, it took me 2 years to get the bugs out of my car to go to Carlisle(so I thought)  :swear: . I still had to get towed home the last 68 miles.  :eek4: Last year was the first time I didn't do any tow truck miles.  :jumping:  :bananasmi

I know the disappointment you are feeling right now. I was hoping to have the Charger ready for our show on the 9th. Even though it is now painted I still have to put in the interior and all the exterior trims plus I have some mechanical problems to iron out. I looked at the calendar and there just isn't enough time. I will say it is really encouraging though to see the colour on the Charger. I have a picture on the computer at work and when I am getting frustrated at work I look at it and my spirits are raised. Yours will be too especially when the colour of pink is on your car. Good things come to her who waits.

Will all the rain PA has gotten, it might be a good year to debut a Pixie Pink canoe.  :dunno:

I hope the water levels lower and the weather clears up WAY before the show for all of you.

Nice progress even up to this point, Pixie and the gang. (hey, that sounds like a new '80s band. lol)  It kinda sucks you won't have it ready for Carlisle, but the progress you've made on it is phenomenal!!  I had been wanting to finish my Challenger up for Carlisle '07, but I seem to keep on getting bounced back another year after the reality of school comes to play.  It's best not to rush things and do it all the way you want it done the first time through.  There's always room for minor improvements along the way with it, but get it set up right and to your liking then go from there.

I got my car in 1998 and am still working on it!  Wait...wrong kind of encouragment......but I also went to college, moved away, lived in an apt, had no money or time.....then I bought a shop that came with a house and I got to finish it!  With all the time and effort you all are putting in, it will be done very soon...and it will be soooooo  worth it!!
