Well its been a while, BUT- we're about 90% done with paint on the car. We're moving along quite well with the sanding in the engine bay. After this, we'll be doing touch ups on some minor dents and stuff of that sort, and thats when she'll be ready for PAINT!!! Also my Dad and I finished taking out the floorboards today and the next step is to weld the new ones in! Many hours were spent today sanding and sandblasting. We also used an "air chisel" to get the floorboards out, and MAN! Those things are crazy to use! Well here are some pictures of todays adventure with the Pixie Duster!

Oh- and the picture of the "orbe" like room in our garage is our huge blasting cabinet for the engine bay. :clapping:

Pixie, I mentioned this to your dad a while ago, but I do have a ralley dash out of a Dodge demon.  I bought one when I was 16 and it came with an extra ralley dash in the parts box he gave me. There was also interior panels and stuff, all green though. I think the dash even had the tach. These parts are about 5000km away from me now, and I'm not sure if my brother(who I sold the car to) will let them go. But keep me in mind when the time comes and I'll see what I can do.

Looks great!  :woohoo:

All I can say is I'm impressed ! Can I ask you what really got you "into" cars.
It's not just that your " 'rents" :grinno: are into cars.
I'm a car nut, but I think my 10 year old son and 12 year old daughter could care less.
At least that's my impression.
Is it because your closer to driving age maybe?
Just curious what I can do to get 'em more interested....keep up the good work !

Boy that blasting makes me remember all the mess it made for me to clean up after blasting my engine bay. I wish more girls would get involved with the hobby as even I find great satisfaction in seeing what can be done to a Mopar if you set your mind on it and do it. You will also love what you end up with when your Duster is completed. Keep us posted on your progress.

Pix, your an inspiration to the hobby, I wished any of my four kids would have been into cars other than running around in them. Your a special young lady. Someone asked why/how you were into the hobby like you are, it may sound corny but yes having parents like you do does help, but seriously there also just has to be something "inside" that drives you on, ...........going to Carlisle dosen't hurt either  :clapping:

When you see, hear, and "feel" a Mopar and you have tears in your eyes there just has to be something more than just likeing a car..........call it what you like, to me it is a passion from within. Pixie, I beleive you have that and I hope you never loose it. You got what it takes young lady !
