After the Guide coat, 320 sanding, pinhole filling and another 2K coat

After the Guide coat, 320 sanding, pinhole filling and another 2K coat.  After the pics we showed yesterday, we applied a guide coat and using our trusty paint sticks and 320 grit, cut the 2K down to even the highs out to the lows.  I guess we probably did 1 to 2 mil leveling, since the 2 previous coats of 2K were probably 3 mil thick, and in a couple of tiny areas the size of a quarter we got into the top epoxy layer.  Then we filled the remaining pin holes, sanded that down, and we just shot another layer of 2K.  These pics are one hour dry, and before we hit it with 600.  I love the way the light hits this primer with a satin finish.

:2thumbs: Nice work and progress Chris. One (for now) question, the seats look great, is that black beading around the edges? Thought PINK was the color of choice? Or is the vinyl top Black? This then would accent that very nicely? Sorry, that was kinda like two questions  :roflsmiley:  Love to see that lil gal smile  :bananasmi

Yes, that is black piping around the seats.  The interior will be black and white....black dash, carpet and headliner with white, seats, door panels and steering wheel.  No pink inside. :grinno:
