I don't know if you've thought about this, but the Duster isn't even finished and it's already World Famous  :ylsuper:

I asked him if he would actually choose to make a customer extremely mad, not take responsibility for his employees mistake and to eat the cost of the pizza instead of cutting me a deal for the $40.  He said "absolutley"!  So, I walked out fuming and having to find another pizza place.   :stomp: :stomp: :stomp:

I would have done the same thing!

Hello everyone!! Thanks for all the comments about the Pixie. I'm so glad everyone likes the color. I fall even more in love with it everytime I walk in the garage!

The past two weeks have been pretty hectic for me! Not only am I in the thick of competition season- but i've had just about everyone at my school congradulate me on my article and i've had a couple oppotunities pop up from different people around Atlanta. I can't say too much now- because all the details haven't been worked out- but when we figure it all out- we'll let you know.  :picture: :money:  :jumping: :swaying:

Anyway- I miss everyone- and i assure you- when band is over- i'll be back on a normal basis (well whenever we aren't greasin up and puttin bolts back into the Duster!) :grinno:

So- she should be coming along nicely as soon as Dad gets home from Belgium.. which is today! yay! :woohoo:

I'll be around! Hope everyone is well! Take care! God Bless!

Thanks for the update Pixie. I meant to tell you that my daughter loves your avatar. She is 3 and thinks your pixie is a princess with wings. I am building my cuda now which will be my sons when he is older and the next project will be a challenger for my daughter. Can you guess what color? I hope she will be in to cars as much as you. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing you and the car (not the sign) in Carlisle next year.  :2thumbs:

Thanks for the update and let me tell you I think the Duster will look great when you get it done and I hope to see the car in person. If I can talk my wife into it my next mopar project will be painted pink. I love the color and think it is a stand out in a crowd of cars. I'm glad to see you get in on all the work as you will appreciate it more when the duster is done. Hard work always pays off in the end. Keep us posted with pictures on your progress.

Hey Rev and Redline,
Just wondering if there was anymore progress on the Duster in the last two weeks?

Pixie hasn't had time to post an update...so I'll do it for her.  There's been a few new things happening since the article in the paper a few weeks ago.  We've gotten two calls. One from the owner of MAADA (Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association).  He has offered his facilities and technicians for us to use for anything we need done.  We're going over Wednesday to visit the facility.  They will probably take the duster over there and finish/repaint to get a professional quality paintjob.  :clapping: They also have an airbrush artist over there so Heather will be talking with him about her "pixie" ideas.  That is very exciting for us. :grinyes:  He also invited Heather to showcase the Pixie Duster in the spring AJC Autoshow which they co-sponsor.   http://www.maada.com/ajc_autoshow.html  It's a 9 day international car show held at the Georgia World Congress Center.  Very cool stuff!

The other call was from a guy from AutoScoop which is a TV show on CW TV (the old UPN and WB out of Atlanta).  They want to do a segment on her and the car on this Friday's (10/27) show.   They were at the Football game Friday night filming and will be following her around school Wednesay and coming to the house for pictures of the duster afterwards.  Wednesday will be a very busy day.  But that's the update.  Since we heard from MAADA, we've stopped all progress on the paint. I think we have the car at a great place for a professional to just take it over and finish...we'll let you know what happens Wednesday.   :jumping: :jumping:

Laura,

That sounds great. Congrats.  Next thing you know Chip Foose will show up at your door and want to two-tone the Duster.  Keep up the good work. :2thumbs:
