Update on Cuda project.
« on: October 15, 2005 - 11:24:35 PM »
Just thought I would give averyone a little update on my 70 Tora-Red 340 4 speed Cuda. I bought the car back in 2000 and have been buying and working on the car in my 2 car garage since then. It has been a real challenge which I have grown to enjoy. I painted the under side of the car with it on 6 ton jack stands and laid on my garage floor to paint it. I have worked on a very limited buget so that is one reason it has taken so lonfg to get the Cuda where it is today. The car was blasted top and bottom and everything on the car is PPG products after I took all the red cheap primer off. I have learned allot about Cuda and Challenger as this is my 2nd full restoration on one. The Cuda has had both quarters replaced along with trunk floor, lower quarter extensions, outer wheel houses, front inner fenders, one rocker, and 2 small patches on the floor pans along with the firewall being replaced because of rust. I can't wait to drive it but I'm waiting on new front seat foam and I bought new inner interior panels which they said would take up to 8 weeks to get them. I'll attach a few pictures so everyone can see where I'm at today with the Cuda. With any luck I'll get it back together before Christmas and be able to get the front end aligned and be able to start driving it and enjoying the hard work I have put in it.
