I was always lucky with Jim's. They had some stuff I couldn't find elsewhere when I was beginning the modifying of my Challenger.   :burnout:

At least you know they are consistant-three years later and they still suck. back in thr day they had a good catolog, which created a lot of business for them. Nowadays with everything online the quality of your service and prices means much more than a complete hardcopy of the catalog.

Stay away from Jim's at all costs!!!!  :nono: They charged me the wrong (higher) price than advertised and never responded to any correspondance.  One order is all they will ever get from me.  They SUCK  :villagers:

I've had no problems on a couple orders from Jacks Auto Parts, but the place that has done well for me is E-body Parts & Restoration (THEMOPARSHOP.com).  Ed is a good man and they have communicated and fixed any issues I've had in the past.  I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them including a set of TTi headers last week  :cooldancing:  :2cents:

:iagree:
I had no issues what so ever when I went up there and grabbed a ton of parts.
 Very polite and all.
This was also about 15 years ago.
 Things changed  :dunno:
I know he has had a bad rep on many Mopar forums for a while, and I'm sure you are all pissed for a valid reason, but I just though I throw my experience out there.

I think that's the difference here. Most places are good face to face over the counter. Most of the bad wrap is with overpriced shipping charges, slow delivery, bad phone and email service.

I have not dealt with Jim's Auto Parts.

I will however recommend Jack's Auto Parts. Oddly enough this different Jim is the owner of Jack's, (bought the business from his brother and kept the name) and is great to work with.

I won't buy parts from Y1, period. I know how they treat their vendor/suppliers. A friend of mine is one vendor that Y1 wanted as a supplier and this vendor backed out because of their business practices. They will sell the vendor's products only with an exclusive arrangement once the deal is signed. The vendor then can't sell anywhere else. I think that term is called contractual bondage. Screw Y1.

I would rather support a vendor that you can strike a good relationship with personally every time.

I bought a couple of Mopar radiator hoses from Jim's last summer. A little pricy, but no other problems or issues with them. Shipping was OK and timely. I was surprised when I read this thread.

Face to face with Jim or his wife is no better and I know from personal experience. If you had a good experience consider yourself lucky!

I've ordered from Jim's on several occasions and I guess I'm somewhere in the middle.

Defintely, their sales and support sucks.  The fact that their web ordering is so outdated should be an embarrassment to anyone associated with the company.  Everyone who has chimed in about ordering over the phone is correct.  She's a sea hag.

On the other hand, their products are great and their prices are extremely competitive.

Good luck, whatever you choose.
