Yes, there is still alot of cars sitting and rotting, I know of several most not for sale (we are going to fix them up they say ).Found 2 chall. ,a 66chr.300 ,70 sat. a couple mons. ago ,one challenger in a barn looks like it had been there a long time ,the 440 was sitting nearby , some one had swiped the fender tag and dash vin. I guess several have been bought ,just think how many was sitting around in the 80's and 90's and more being found all the time just have to look alittle harder. :(

don't give up hope. about five years ago a truck driver
asked me to do a motor job. when i looked at it, the only holding the engine in was the mounts.(it was a 6cyl.) when he brought the car that he wanted the motor, in it had a V8 in so i told him what all had to changed, he said it was not worth that much trouble.

LAST YEAR HE STOPED IN AND ASKED IF I WANTED A 71

DUSTER FOR PULLING THE FIRST MOTOR. ( it took 5min

and 4 bolts to pull the motor out)

:'( Was on my way to register for some summer classes today.  Driving down 287N (North Texas in the middle of no where) going 70 mph and out of the corner of my eye I spot what I thought was a Cuda. Went about my business all day, but on my way home I just had to stop.  Its a small town (I guess you can call it a town, 3 streets maybe 200 people 1 overpass goes over entire town blink and yuo miss it)  Turns out it was a cuda in a back yard, I am pretty sure a 71.  Beside it set a 69 & 72 charger.  Gonna approach later on, but now one car is more than I can handle and I live 2 hrs away.  Thought this would make yuo guys happy!!  Its pretty upsetting that cars just set around and fade to nothing like that!!

 :D Hey RAD1229,
I agree with you. The good news is it's a Mopar guy(or gal), the bad news is, they don't know what they are doing. Those are some highly desireable cars there. They deserve better. >:(

A friend of mine collects cars, well sort of, hes a junk collector, but has a vast array of nice Mopars that he will not sell, at least not very easily. Those that he does sell, you almost need a helicopter to get them out.
Some of the cars that are of value that I know of:

64 Sport Fury w/ a 426 Wedge
69 Charger RT/SE w/ a 4 speed and Dana (I sold this car to him in my stupid days of my youth)
69 Charger 440-6 auto car
70 Challenger RT 383 4 speed car complete
and various GTX's, RoadRunners, Satellites and such.....his property has more than Mopars too.....

Its just a shame that he doesnt do something with these cars or at least sell them to someone that will.....Says he's gonna fix them.....
69 RoadRunner (clone)
70 Cuda 383 4 speed (project) one of the first few off the line at Hamtramck with a 1017XX VIN
70 Cuda convertible 340 4 speed (project)
70 Barracuda (project)
71 GTX 440 4 speed (project)
72 Cuda 340 3 speed (project)
3 Harleys
95 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel 4x4

I met this guy at a car show the other day, he had a Challenger, Super Bee, Roadrunner, and 2 Darts, (I forgot what years they all were) but they are just sitting out in a feild behind hi house.  He doesn't want to get rid of any of them.  Don't people realize the longer they sit, the harder they will be to restore? :dupe: :dupe:

I have been trying for over 20 years to get some cars off my friends hands, but he will not sell! He has to be VERY HARD UP for cash before he sells anything outta there. I have only heard of one car leaving his yard after he brings them in....that was a 69 RoadRunner that another friend got ahold of. I have no pics, as he is in a different state from where I am currently at....I have pushed on that RT 6 pak car, and the other RT that he has, but he will not sell. He knows what he has.
