yeh, sometimes those codes can be confusing, but there is an option code thread under the "E-bod information" like at the top of the home page , that may help too. Good luck

J54 - Hood Insulation
L31 - Fender Mounted Turn Signals
M21 - Roof Drip Rails

Thanks !  Now if only I can find something that tells me the paint color.  I know it was white ( eggshell ) because the fender tag is white under the repaint of red, but I'd like to verify it.

Thanks to all who replied.  Now I know what has to be there when I'm done.  I'm planning on addind a few more options that were available to a numbers matching car, thinking I can always take them off if I want to sell it as original.  What do you guys think ?

Thats the way to go.  Make it like YOU want it.  If you ever sell, then return it to "as original" as possible.  What are you thinking of adding?

Rev-It-Up,

I already have a Vinyl top,  Since the car is white, a black top is a must for me.
Also have a remote trunk release.
Passenger side mirror is planned
Rallye scoops and stripes are planned.
Air conditioning ( if I can hit the lottery )

;D   GOTTA have that Pistol Grip shifter for the 727 auto.

Can you think of any "must have" items I've overlooked ?

I think the only "must have" is the car itself.  Everything else is personal taste.  I would love to see if someone out there is making a pistol grip for automatics...that would be pretty cool.  The automatic shifters were terribly boring or down right ugly.

Sounds like your making some cool changes.  The scoops and stripes will look great!

Hi Austin , here is the info to fill in the spaces :

The "381" stamping doesn't mean anything , you will sometimes see extra numbers or letters after the "END" , " EN1", "EN2" or "L2" codes .

G64 : right hand outside mirror manual chrome remote.

G74 : Dual outside mirros left hand remote , right hand manual .

I : Build for specifications for International order ( this means the car was ordered for a country other than the United States or Canada )

A57 : Rallye Package which included : Sport Hood , Black Grille , Simulated Fender Louvres , HD Suspension , Rallye Instrument Panel-Type 7 , Longitudinal Sport (strobe) Stripes , F70 x 14" White Sidewall Tires .

Sounds like a cool car , the KY5 Yellow blaze paint was a 1974 only color .

 8) Hello Pistol Gripper,
The car sounds great. I think the side scoops with the stripes are awesome. The only thing externally that I can think of adding is a "go wing" spoiler for the back, but that could never be removed for obvious reasons. As for the pistol grip shifter for an automatic, if you find one, please let us in on where you made your discovery. I don't believe one is available, but that sure would be nice.
