I was behind a car with virginia plates last nite....they had "Drive Away" on them? What's that all about? Looked to be some type of specialized plate?

Was it a vanity plate or listed as the slogan for Virginia?

It was not a vanity plate....it had a number ...like 11-110 on it...in small letters below the numbers it said "drive away"...and to the left of the numbers it has the letters DA stacked� �
it looked like this:

� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � D� �11-110

It was a steel plate...never saw anything like that B4

Drive-away License Plates Code
If you are engaged in the business of delivering unladen motor vehicles under their own power from points of assembly or distribution, before beginning delivery of any of these vehicles, you may apply to DMV for a registration card and license plates (drive-away license plates) before beginning delivery. -
