Arkansas Greetings Ya'll
« on: October 22, 2005 - 09:32:55 PM »
Hey ya'll,
I'm new to this forum and wanted to say hello.
I have 70' Challenger thats been sitting for several years. I'm preparing to start work on it. It originally came with 318/auto.
Terry

The 318 is long gone. It was gone when my brother aquired the car years ago, and after being a weed queen I got him to sell it. Along with the 70' Chrysler Imperial I located for him to have an engine for the car.
I don't have any pictures yet. Its still in the weeds atm I plan to get it out this afternoon and maybe I'll get a pic then.

For where it's sitting it doesn't look too bad IMO.
Sure does look sad but when I saw the first photo I was thinking..."Oh Oo" but after seeing the doors and panel work, it's not bad.

Keep us up to date, mate. lol

Welcome!  Where are you located in the Natural State?

I'm in Greenbrier or close to it. just north of Conway off US 65.
As to the other posts it looks worse than it is in those pictures. It has NO rust, it was kept in a garage for years before my brother bought it. Left front fender has been bent from door misalignment. The lower facia below the bumper is beat up a little. So as a starting point.
 Body/Interior:
      1: Lower facia
      2: Headlight rings
      3: Door interior panels.
4: Seats not really torn, just broken down foam.
5: Steering wheel, plastic missing 1/4 round it. Prolly replace it with a Grant.
6: Fix or replace the left front fender.
Guess I'm ranting here but it really looks worse than it is. I just need to get it out of the weeds and goto work as I get time. First on the list will be pulling the 360 & Tranny out of the Camper/Van and get it tweaked and ready to drop in.
I'm leaning towards burnt orange paint. It appears thats the original color and I like it.

Welcome to the site.  Best of luck with your restoration project.  It appears to be quite solid and a good foundation to build upon.
