The worst part is, most of these cars were parked/scrapped because of something that would only take a few hundred dollars to fix.

You have to remember though, when these cars were parked they weren't anything special.  How many 80's and 90's cars do you see just sitting around?

In 1970, Gramps bought two 57 300C's, one a perfect low miles convertible. Both were black, and both had 392's
The non vert had some front damage, so, him and my dad, pulled the 392 out, and sent it to the crusher.........................dad said it had less than 50,000 miles.
Gramps still has the convertible.....................worth over 150,000 now I guess...........................

Wanna get real sad? Go find some Demo-Derby footage from the 60's.

This idiot apparently has no life and just hunts for cars... He really needs a life.  He made a post about it a few pages back.

Yeah, that website really shows some potential hot cars that are just going to sit and rust away because the owner's are too ignorant to accept the fact they never really fix up "their gem" out back.  I'm slowly seeing this happen to a '70 RT/SE FC-7 Challenger back home.  The owner just insists on not selling it, so there it sits at his relative's place (graduated with a girl that lives there) slowly making its way into the ground.  (It was a nice driver prior to it sitting, too.) :-*

Yea Pixie
That green 6bbl '71 'CUDA is well known in the hobby at the 6 barrel 'CUDA, get it? 6 BARREL 'CUDA.

Anyway, That one and many others on that website have been saved but many more are going to dust and that's the way it goes.

For every one that dies though, our cars get more valuable

Here is one that I stumbled across today.....

"This unfortunate accident, sent my love to the scrap yard. Fortunately, a scraped knee and bruises were the outcome, another example of a beautiful, rare and expensive collector car today and to think, I bought this 1971 'Cuda 340 4spd pistol grip, for $900.00. These pictures are from 1977, notice the cars that were common place back then."
