the lower bushings are relatively easy to change , the uppers need to be pressed out , it can be done in a vice but i have broken 3 vices do this , the lowers need to be heated weith a propane torch , I use a pickle fork to pry the pin out of the bushing & then pry out the rubber insert laeving the bushings outer shell in place which is needed for the poly bushings
Wow, broken vises, those puppies are in there huh? Guess I need to worry less about bending up the upper arms then. Just so I have this straight, when you say "pin" are you referring to the lower CA shaft with the threaded end that goes into the bushing, that the lower CA pivots on, or am I missing some sort of smaller lock pin someplace??
I was going to use my shop press to push that shaft out first...not a good move?
So, only the rubber part of the lower bushing is to be removed?
The thick metal housing sleeve that the torsion bar slides into wobbles a bit in the arm, is this normal or should it be a real tight "bearing" fit?
Thanks!
