Engine Test Stand
« on: October 24, 2005 - 06:38:37 PM »
I was thinking about building/buying an engine test stand for breaking in my 408.  I seen there are a couple designs that involve modifying an engine stand.  Anybody done this?  I wonder if you can buy an inexpensive control panel.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don`t see an engine stand working as you will need a belhousing on the engine , I would use a frame under the engine that hooks to the engine mounts or bosses on the bloack

With the designs I saw the engine mounting is moved to the bottom so they don't use the mounting plate.
