Sorry for the variation in pic sizes but Steve & I are trying to learn photobucket.  At least we got them on. The car has almost no rust.  It does have some fiberglass in the bottoms of the back fenders.  This was already old when we got the car, but it seems very solid, & Steve was chomping at the bit to drive the car, so I left it.  It had a few small dings which I repaired.  Both front & rear valances had to be worked (but not for rust), & if I had known how much work there was, I would have just replaced them, as they are only about $180. each.  The car is excellent mechanically except it needs a wiper switch.  It has all new bushings in front end, new calipers, pads, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, radiator, water pump, alternator, power steering pump, starter, complete exhaust, rebuilt eng & trans w/ shift kit, grill, headlight buckets, dash, headliner, carpet, 'Cuda throw mats, seat covers, front seat foam, shocks, master cyl, booster, B&M shifter, Cd radio(not orig of course), sub woofer w/ amp, Tach (orig still works but we hooked lead to new tach, ignition modue coil & more.  We started on the car about 3.5 or 4 yrs ago, so it has probably 4 or 5k miles on it, or thereabouts.  Underneath the car is very good as you can see from the pics.  If I can tell you anything else, just email or call.  Thanks,  ovmf/Wayne

Thanks for the interest folks.  It has been sold since last weekend, but my server has been down, & I just got back on this morning.  We had about 10 people that said they wanted car, but were too late. Several said call if sale didnt go through because they wanted it.  The guy is getting a really good car that is a blast to drive, & always draws a crowd at the cruise ins & shows.  Well, I guess I can get back to working on the old Challenger.  Talk with you later.   ovmf/Wayne

Hello Shane,  Dont know if your car is there yet.  I watched your uncle tying it down on the truck Sat AM, & kinda hated to see it go.  I know you will enjoy it a lot.  There is just something about 500+ pounds of torque that you dont get tired of.  And it looks good too!!!  It is the only one that color that I have seen anywhere.  I did see a couple Furys that color back in '73 (in the showroom!), but have not seen another Mist Green 'Cuda at all.  The Lime cars are a brighter color, & so are just not the same.  I guess I'll just have to get serious about finishing my Challenger now.  Good luck & happy moparing.   OVMF/Wayne

also, just wondering, have you ever had the car dyno'd or could any one tell me about how much hp to expect?

Hello Shane,  No, we never had it on a dyno, & we never ran it at the strip.  Based on the things I have read, cars with similar work to them as what we did to this one usually put out at least 450HP.  Factory torque figures for a stock 440 are 490 ft lbs, or more depending onwhich version you have.  I am confident this motor is 500 lbs or more.  It responds quite well at all rpm & any gear, & it never quits pulling hard (at least up to about 6k).  We usually shift it about 5200 or so because it will gain another 400 or 500 r's while the trans is shifting.  It does have a shift kit in the trans.  If you are not familiar w/ a B&M shifter, you may call Steve or me anytime & we will discuss any concerns you have.  Happy motoring.  Wayne/ovmf   PS:  I would have answered sooner, but have been having problems w/ my password.

Love your car number 51 !!!!! It was the number of one of my favorites drivers- Neil Bonnett when he was killed at Daytona in '94 in the Country Time Lemonade car.  Then a buddy of mine Jeff Purvis drove the car the rest of the year.....it was cool Jeff could drive it, but hated the circumstances.
