Quick Door Handle Question

I contacted Year One re a new LHS external door handle for my 70 Challenger & was told that these are Chrysler supplied & don't have the same contour as original which leaves a gap somewhere between the handle & the door. This doesn't sound too promising to me, does anyone have any experience with these items?

Original '70 handles are p/n 2999886 & 887.  The replacements are 216 & 217, incorrect for both the Challengers and 'Cuda's, contour of the handle is shapped different than both models originals.

Hang loose for a little longer...there are some folks working on a "correct" repro door handle for Challengers. I hope they are out by the 1st of the year!
