Hotel Choices for 2006
« on: October 28, 2005 - 01:08:56 PM »
We have a choice of two hotels, each holding 20 rooms for us.

1.  Ramada Inn - 4 miles from fairgrounds.  $112/night (for 2 people, $5/extra person).  The parking is not as great as the Fairfield, but probably adequate.  Ramada is the first pic.

2.  Fairfield Inn - Last year's hotel. 22 miles from fairgrounds.  $105/night for 2 double beds, $99 for 1 King.  The parking was great and we had plenty of room to hang out.  Fairfield is the second pic.

I'll leave this poll up over the weekend, but by Monday, I'll take the majority and nail down the hotel.

One Question before I vote. Where can we park our trucks and trailers?

Last year at the Fairfield, we parked to the right of the hotel using the "pull-through" spots.  Now, looking at the Ramada...don't know how we would do that unless we separate our trucks from the trailors.

I've made my vote, judged by the results we had last year as opposed to what incident occurred two years ago at another hotel that was closer to the grounds.  I think a vendor was trying to make some extra money.  The drive is definitely longer to the show, but who doesn't like to show off their awesome E-bodies on the open roads?...okay, so it wasn't open at those times, but I still had a blast riding around in the backseat of 4C's vert. absorbing all those thumbs up and smiles we were receiving. ;D

Great pics Rev (and yours too Street!).  That was a great parking area for us.  I especially liked when Red told that poor girl in the Honda that that parking lot was for Mopars only!  LOL!!!!  She left too!!!!  I guess she felt Red's authority and quickly came to the conclusion not to question him!  What a great time.  I never knew one could have soooooo much fun just hanging out in a parking lot!  The 22 mile drive wasn't the greatest but I enjoyed getting to drive my Cuda while carting around some of the other members who were not fortunate enough to have their car there.  It gave a lot of people a chance to go for a ride in a Cuda or Challenger.  I know Cuda Guy was really thrilled to go for a ride in mine (he screamed all the way back to the hotel...LOL).  I honestly don't care all that much about where we stay as long as the parking is sufficient and safe.  I just want us all to stay in the same plae.  It wouldn't be the same if we were split up.  Get voting guys!!!!!!!!

How about renting some travel trailers, or Motor homes locally?
