I'd assume you'd be running a blown-through carburetion design, so maybe if you chill for a while Nick (74Chall) could help you out some as he is working on a '73 Dart Sport with a turbocharger.  I too am now throwing around the idea of possibly turbo'ing my 340 once I get everything built for the engine and installed in the car.

blow through si the worst system , the carb cannot "see" the air density so it will be rich at low boost & lean at higher boost , putting the carb pre turbo works better but not I dea either , EFI is the best way to go , Mega squirt , SDSEFI , & 1 other haqve good EFI control systems , you need to plumb the exhaust to the turbo via modified headers or custom built ones , the turbos also need a good oil supply & a unrestrictive oil drain back to the oil pan , the pressurized air can be intercooled also before being forced into the engine

Hah. figures another blow through design hater. The technology has changed chryco.
CSU specializes in buliding carbs for blow through systems. They have many cars into the 8's. For the heavy hitters-Boost reference power valves are the ticket to get that bog off the bottom .  My blow through design still hasnt had an lm1 on it or the carb tuned (home brewed) and i can tell the car pulls harder then hell. Easily in the 10's for a stock 400CI. 4spedd to boot!
Im going to get back working on it next spring while i gather parts over the winter.  Goody I have your SN and ill IM you next time i see you on. For now you can check out www.turbomustangs.com and hit the mopar thread over there.  dont let anyone tell you you cant get a blow through design to work good- its a new thing and just like anything new it takes time.
