thats what I was going to ask. Could it be that 4C's infamous 70' vert started out life as a 72 model? Tell me it isnt so! Surely this is a bad dream!!!!

However, pondering this further it begs yet another observation that I have never thought about until now. You never see any 72-74 convertibles - did they not offer the convertible option in 72-74 year Cooders?

Guys, to answer the questions about 4C's convert, it was just something someone did in its past life.  It is a '70 'Cuda...someone just had the later year grille in it when he picked it up in the '90s.

MikeTyler, they did not make any '72-'74 'Cudas from the factory.  The drop top option was erased after the '71 model year.

This is not really a "fair" before shot, it was complete when I bought it. ( Bought it back actually, this is the second time I have owned this one.) The "before" photo is right before it went to the body shop in 2003, the second photo was taken about a month later.

It then went through a couple of stripe changes, added a sunroof and new rims and painted bumper and back to no stripes.

I will try and post these in order....

OOPS! Some of those are kinda big, I need to remember to check file sizes. :-(

Here is a recent one with the new painted cop rims and caps.

Barry, your '71 looks very cool with those rims and white with a black top.

Well I guess the Interior Is next.
This is the neatest part of all. My chally conv. came with S/E interior in the rare saddle tan with leather inserts. I didn't get a chance to put the carpet back on the bottom of the door panel yet though.

Great before and after pictures indeed!!!  I especially liked Barry's car with the red stripe and JS's interior after shot...

Here are some before, during, and "almost" after pictures of my Challenger Convertible...  BTW, does anyone recognize the convertible from the first two before pictures???

Hint: LOBJ  ;)
