Any pharmacists here?
« on: October 30, 2005 - 05:42:57 PM »
I was just curious if anybody on here is a pharmacist becuase I am 2/3 through pharmacy school and it has so far been the hardest thing I have ever done.

Hi MoparMatt,

I'm not a pharmacist but a mechanic turned registered nurse and yes, the pharmacy stuff was tough!  Nothing but brute force memorization!

I feel your pain, but your pain I think is worse!  It'll pay off once you get a decent job.  Pharmacists make a decent salary!  Keep it up!  You'll do fine!

Hey Matt.
Not a Pharmacist but a Physical Therapist. I went back to School at the age of 38 Worked F/T while doing it. Very hard but in the end well worth the effort. Congrats on the 2/3s point in your education. Stay focused and you will be rewarded

Hey man keep your head up. Let me tell you this will pay off. Concentrate on becoming a good legal "druggie" lol. Anyways, the school is tough with all the math and memorization but, I know a gentleman in my hometown who makes $35.00-$40.00 an hour for being a legal "druggie." Anyways, keep up the good work and keep working hard.

Thanks for the good words.  I'll need to make some decent money if I want to continue to afford these E bodies.  lol  Super Blue my dad is a registered nurse and it has treated him pretty well.

Yeah but, that depends if the muscle car prices don't burst like they're predicting the house market to do so in the next few years.

Definately true!  In the Boston area housing is starting to level off and now some people are actually having a hard time selling thier house.  Maybe partially due to the season.

Just waiting to get a Hemi 'Cuda in good shape for $10K  LOL!

Well, its kind of good because IMO rent and mortgage payments are just crazy in the larger cities if you're in the house market right now. I think people will have a hard time selling their house simply because of the time of season it is because think about it. Its getting cold and dreary with winter just around the corner not to mention the holidays coming up so right now will be a slow time however wait for Spring & Summer.
As for a 10k Hemi Cuda I don't we'll ever see those days again like when I was a kid growing up in the mid 1980s. Kind of like we'll probably never gas drop below $2 a gallon again. Anyways, however some of these cars should become a little more affordable but, don't expect too much of a drop. Maybe a several thousand drop on most cars or so I expect that.

Yea there is plenty of oppertunity in the field its just getting to that RPH after your name is the tough part.  lol  Right now I am a registered pharmacy intern with the state of NY so it is pretty much the same thing as being a tech, but just that I am in pharmacy school.

Good dough, but I would've thought a pharmacist would make a bit more.
