A company has started making reproduction 69 convertible Camaros, like we don't have enough Camaros driving around town now! There worse than rabbits! heh
I can see it now, I'll drop by the local Walmart and overhear the cashier saying "ok, that's one 6pk of coke, one box of cereal, and one 69 convertible Camaro...will that be all sir?" LOL
In the new HotRod there's more info, I guess they are thinking about making the 67-68 or 69 Mustang fastbacks too, and a few others, but when asked about Mopar they said something like, it will be way down the road if at all. A 71 Cuda convertible would be nice....

Yes, I've seen the first one built in Hot Rod magazine......Let's just hope they don't do the same for E-bodies so we can still be the minority, so to speak.
But I do see your point on a '71 convert......

Those ahave been around for a while now. There was talk of doing a Mustang and then a `cuda. They already reproduce most of the Camaro and Mustang parts but it would be too costly to make all the parts needed to biuld a `cuda.

I think its a great idea, tho i pefer the 67, 68 model more than a 69, they are reasonably priced and brand new...doesnt come any better than that.
Soon as they come out with a cuda rag top , I,m getting one...lol

Those are nice cars but they're kind of pricey. From what I understand I think the Camaro goes for about $80K all built. Out of my league!
But what do you call the car? Is it a '69 Camaro or is it a kit car? Sort of like the debate the Shelby Cobras go through.

I don't see the point of that HotRod Camaro
If you read the article they recieve the car and procede to rip it apart and cut it up to make it the way they want it
Why didn't they just buy a clapped out 71 Nova four door cut it apart and weld the Camaro panels over it. Would have been easier.
The real reason is so they can use every aftermarket bolt or weld on part on earth for more advertising. I like the part when they cut off the quarter panels because they don't come close to lining up with the doors.
Later the article sez the manufacture has fixed that problem... Yeah right
More cheppie garbage

Don't even think it's in the works. You might want to email them at the link above.
