72 - 74 Challenger Chrome Head Light Bezels
« on: November 03, 2005 - 09:00:07 AM »
A while back I posted how I couldn't find any decent chrome head light bezels for my 72 Chally, so I took a set of badly pitted ones I bought off ebay and had them powdercoated and painted black.  They match the "black" theme of my car and turned out pretty decent.  We are close to installing them so I'll be interested to see how they look on the car.  Here's a pic of after I got them back:

NOW I find repros that look pretty darn good in the pics on ebay.  I know a lot of folks have been looking for these, so maybe these will help.  I've never ordered from this seller, but have heard good things from at least one other buyer.  The repros are also cheaper than what I spent on mine to get them where they are now.

I've been looking at those myself. I have bought a different item from that seller and was satisfied.

That would be great if you could post a pic of your car once the new bezels are in place.  Would love to see that!

Got one decent shot tonight of the powder coated/painted former POS ebay bezels before I lost all the light.

Looks real good!  Do you have a shot from further away showing the whole car?

No complete car photos yet -

Hopefully by Sunday the hood will be done and painted and on the car.  I've still got a lot to do once I get it back home (vinyl top, exhaust, new tires, get tranny fixed, etc.)  Driving about 300 miles roundtrip to work on the car/shoot video is getting old after a few years.  Hope my wife doesn't open the gas card bill first this month.

Here's how it looked when I bought it:

I forgot I took this one.  Looked blurry in the camera:

If you mean the passenger's side mirror, then that was optional. I don't know if it was a fender tag thing, but back then not all cars had a miror on the passenger's side.
