Hello guys,
I still need to drill holes on the hood for the 440-6 pack emblems on the challenger. If someone out there has a 6 pack 440 could you please measure the emblems location for me? I just dont wanna put it to far off.

Wish I still had my 1970 6-pack Cuda.  I think you will find the correct info here for your measurements.

Mine is 100 miles away from here now but you probably will want these trunklid measurements off an October built car with the original lid some time too.

I may have another six pack hood around though and will take a look.

Well, I just checked out the hood I'm going to use and it only has two holes so not a real six pack hood which has three per side.  I still have the very nice original (with a huge hole cut in the middle...considering trying to save it...) and could get you exact measurements on that around Thanksgiving.  You probably will also need the fender measurements too and I could get those as well.  Personally, I'd rather wait and get the right measurements and that's the best I can do for you now.

Oh yeah, do purple cars need the radiator support blacked out too?  If so, it looks nows the time on yours.  The rule Galen gave was you shouldn't see body color through the grill but I think on darker cars you may not have to do that.  I have example pictures of that if needed.

You are right, must already have his holes figured out I guess then.  I'm still going to get these since I need them for my other hood too.

I have a templet of the dodge one from a rotted out hood, and they were on there, I wouldnt mind seeing were the holes for the 6 pack emblem should be, & to see how far im off. Thanks for the picture of the rear! that will help a bunch!

Here's a couple pictures and I did make a template too (3 pages) but not sure what to do with it yet.

The tape measure is connected in a straight line to the back of the hood. 

If you look close in the pictures you can see the old emblem marks too and I really think this is the original hood on the 38,000 mile car.

It's a real 6-pack car, 38,000 miles, mostly original paint, NOM.  It's the hemi orange car above that I just took the T/A hood off of.  It's a Hamtrack car with N95, solid original floors and trunk, near perfect dash too.  It must have been a California car with N95 that I know was in Alabama for a while too before migrating North.  I still might try saving the hood on it even with the hole cut in the middle - worst case it gets ruined (more).  It has a roll cage bolted in and probably explains the NOM and low miles.  The doors open and close great and make that nice solid sound when shut too.  I've had this one since 1990 and haven't done much but steal the ocassional part off it and change tires.  I guess this one is on deck for restoration.
