Miscellaneous Parts
« on: November 05, 2005 - 02:47:18 PM »
I was straightening up the garage and found a bunch of parts that I will probably never use....so if anyone is interested PM me with an offer.

1) '77 or 78 400 block - virgin bore....perfect for a stroker
2) 440 forged crankshaft - was going to use in the 400 block, needs to be turned down
3) 383/400 Mopar Performance ductile iron main caps (also was going to use in the stroker)
4) 70 E/B-body 3-speed manual trans
5) 833 B-body tailshaft
6) 70 AM radio...hasn't been tested but was working when removed in '77
7) One 72 barracuda seat

I will be going through the attic and basement soon, so I will probably be adding some Challenger window trim, a pair of 10 inch slots, and whatever else I can find to that list......

I'm in the process of buying a new digital camera on eBay, so I will have pictures of all the parts in a few days. Also, I found these items:

8) Outer trunk mouldings for a 70 Challenger
9) 70 Challenger front bumper core
10) A complete set of front windshield moldings
11) Complete set of driver quality rechromed tail light housings (weren't prepped properly before rechrome)

Sorry for not responding to your PM, but I didn't know what the radio was worth...... I did find this one on ebay and mine is exactly the same

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4588078729&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I will see what the closing bid is and I will probably want up to 75% of that price (that is of course after I bench test it to see if it functions 100%), also if your interested in more than 1 item I will go down in price....

I'm borrowing a digital camera from a friend because I cant seem to win one of eBay...anyhow I should have pics within the next 24 hours. Also, I dont know what most of this stuff is worth, so I'm seeing what it sells for on ebay and asking for around 70% of that. Lastly, I thought I read once that there is a difference between 70 and 71-74 outer trunk mouldings and I would like to know what the difference is before I try to sell the pair I have.

The '70 quarter panel edge moldings are smooth as opposed to '71-'74's, which have a groove towards the outer edge/lip.

Here are some pictures... First off, the trunk moldings appear to be 71-74 style so I don't really know what they are worth, just make an offer. The moldings are dent and ding free, however the passenger side molding appears to have been steel wooled or something....it does not have the same luster as the drivers side and looks as if the coating was scraped off where the green circles are in the pictures. The camera didn't do a very good job at capturing it but it is noticable if you are looking for it.

The radio hasnt been tested yet(will try to test it by friday) if it works than I will be wanting 75 bucks for it, which is less than 70% of this one that sold a couple days ago....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4588078729&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
Also since a couple people asked about it, I will let Georgia Cuda get first dibs....if he doesnt want it, than I will offer it to the next person in line.

The crankshaft has a lot surface rust from sitting for a long time....but it is forged, drilled for a 4-speed, and can still be used....price is 65 plus shipping

The block is in excellent condition and doesnt have any gouged cylinders, will clean up very nicely with .020 or .030 overbore, dont really know what a nice block is worth so please make an offer....this one is local pickup only

I still have to get pictures of the windshield moldings and tail light housings......Also whatever doesn't sell on here will be listed on eBay in the next few weeks.
