I am beginning to think I should take a standing offer that was given to me the other day. It is quite high compared to the offers I am seeing here. Problem is...I'm enjoying this car quite a bit at the moment.

As owners of much sought after Mopars, we all are in the same boat.  If we get a good offer and sell, then we are faced with having to go and replace it with another one.  In order to to end up with what you want and make a little money, you would have to be very lucky indeed.  SOOOO, unless someone REALLY makes it worth my while, I guess I am stuck with the beast. :undercar:.................Oldschool

Long story short... Made a CASH offer a few months back, heard through the grapevine he still has the car. I would even offer a bit more now cause I've saed a little scince the summer. this guy works out of state and extremely hard to get ahold of, and on and on....The car is needs total resto and re-assembly, but I must say it has all the right stuff. The whole deal was one of those friend of a friend things. I no the owner is in no position to restore the car. All my conversations with him revolved around his divorce and how she got all his money ect ect.... I was always told .. cash talks bull**** walks.... maybe thats not exactly true.

I never let them get me past the "NO it's not for sale!" stage.

A legitimate 35k offer was made to me. I told him i could not find another original formal black 71 shaker car for that price.

Another was a straight up trade for a done 383 70 chally vert clone. It was very nice.. that one was tempting. Sure did look like a 50k car too.

I'd NEVER sell a 71 Cuda, unless I had another 71 Cuda lined up for sure, that was even better for the same or less cash. It's just an awesome looking car!

A guy offered me a 2000 Viper GTS black with silver stripes and only 5000 miles on it. He's here locally, we're supposed to get together on Sunday so I can take a look at it.

A383, that guy with the Viper is smart...he knows the market for 70-71 cudas, and as tempting as the offer may be, the Viper won't hold a leash to the Cuda in a couple years from now. Not to mention, they're more plentiful opposed to the '71. But its your car, and if you're willing to let go of your Cuda *without regrets* then thats gotta take a whole lotta balls!  :sly:

Hi All  just wanted to tell you all that a Guy came in the yard the other day because he saw the Challenger from the road and wanted to know if I'll sell it and I said yes for $9000.00 or make a offer he when on to say that he want to gut it out and make a Drag car out of it, and all he could offer me was $500.00 I got real Pi$$ at this time :swear: and told him to get out of the Yard before I let the dogs loose, The gall :screwy: of some people to want to cut and chop up a good perfect car so they can go fast I for one hate it when people do this to a Mopar My  :2cents:

Hello all,
A383Cuda,
I have to agree with Bondavi and EVIL72. I would most certainly keep the cuda!/forget about the viper.
I also agree with Hemi Challenger. To gut an antique mopar to just make a go fast machine? ...leave that for the honda guys. It would be like drilling holes in antique coins to a coin collector.
good luck all
