Console Brackets
« on: November 06, 2005 - 06:22:28 AM »
Anybody have the dimensions of the rear console bracket for a 71 Challenger.  I don't think it matters but it's a 4 speed console.  I got a front bracket from Harms but don't have the rear so if I have to, I'll make one. Thanks.

Alaskan, you're awesome, Thanks. Sorry to impose but one more question. How tall is it (how high off the hump does it stand.  Really, THANKS.

No problem. If I never got up to measure stuff or take a photo or two I would not get any exercise. ;-)

It is 5/8" tall at the back and 7/8" tall in the front.

T/Ake care,
Barry

Thanks again Barry, I really do appreciate it.  I hesitated to post the question cause I really didn't think anyone would answer. That's why I say I really appreciate it.

BTW, we will be making the rear bracket as well in a couple months, the tooling is underway now.

I bought the front from you but I had to buy a used rear one from some guy in Calif.

OK Barry, now you've taken away ALL my excueses for not putting the console in.  Ya know, I already had plenty of stuff to do!

Just kidding, thanks again Barry, I better get crankin, I've got the front grill off and painted up, and the door panels off for a SEM restoration, still gotta put header gaskets on and NOW I'm re-motivated to get the console put in.

Hey Scott,
How about making a new bolt in console design with cup holders? I may work on it here.

Romi, get to work already!
