That brings up a good point...  How many of you guys actually help out with any of the cooking?

In my house I do the majority of the cooking.  If you want to eat you have to cook!

I find frying the whole turkey in a 55 gallon drum of used 10W-40 gives it a rich flavor!  (Just kidding!)

Cooking has always been a pleasure for me since I was little.  When my wife and I started dating, I enjoyed cooking for her.  Now it's just expanded to her and 3 little kids!

For Turkey Day I'll probably go to my brother's house in NH for a pot luck, slowly turning into a pile of over-carbohydrated ooze lying lifeless on the sofa after dinner watching TV....

With any luck I'll be driving the truck and AMX home to Idaho the week before, have to take a detour through Iowa from Texas to pick up a top for my '79 Bronco from a buddy of mine.

My wife will not let me help her cook or anyone for that matter. I do my part by doing the clean up. Lot of pot and pans. because she is such a great cook I figure its the least I can do.

I think the cleaning up is just as difficult as the cooking!  So cleaning up and even opening cans can be considered as "helping" out!  So far, you guys are pretty good!

I try to stay away from the kitchen, & that's not because of some chauvanist thing, I just hate cooking. I can make instant oatmeal, toast, coffee & hot dogs cooked in beer. Anything like a meal with 3 or 4 things means you'll be eating 3 or 4 things all cooked one at a time. (Eat your salad while I make the peas, then eat your steak, then eat your potatos.) Timing is horrible. My wife loves to cook, but I'd just as easily take her out to eat somewhere if she wanted to.

Walking is good for you. It's documented that for every minute you exercise, you add a minute to your life. This enables you to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $5000 per month.

That is because BBQ'ing is a easy excuse to hide and drink beer!
Your BBQ isn't in plain site from the kitchen is it?
