Now for the auction cars.. I hope you are sitting down for this one because I am still in shock. The highlite of the auction was this 1968 Factory Super Stock Hemi Cuda --Alias--B029 car. This was the original Arlen Vanke car restored to perfection with the help of Vanke himself. A very famous Mopar racer and tester for chrysler back in the day for those of you who did not follow drag racing.. This car was bid up to $ 780,000.00 ( nope not a misprint or typo ) and the owner whould not sell it. I think the reserve was for a cool million. After watching Ferrari's before the Cuda being sold left and right for $ 45,000 to 60,000 thinking that was alot I was in shock. I read about a BO29 selling two years ago for $ 175,000.00 and thinking that was alot but it was a national record holder.
anyway on with the show..

Looks like you were in Mopar heaven.  I would have been banned from the site due to excessive drooling on the merchandise. I liked em all!  thanks for sharing the pics with us.......Oldschool
