I went out to a swap meet this weekend , looked at a '68 barracuda . Verrrry nice shape. 383 magnum, was a 4-speed car , now has 727 torqueflite. It was marked as "sold" so I was talking to the new owner, he said he only bought it to scavange the grill out of because it was nicer than the one in his . So I ask him if he's interested in selling it. He says yup. I said how soon, he says tomorrow ( Monday ) if I really wanted it. I ask him the magic question " How Much ?"
( Now , I could let you know how much I'm paying for this beautiful car, but I think I'll take some pics. first , if he hasn't sold it out from under me already, ) I hope to pick this thing up this week end ! )
I checked, No rust , , anywhere that I could find! This car is clean. You can eat off the interior ! All of the floor pans are solid, engine is dirty, but the sheet metal is perfect ! Even around the hinge areas. This thing must have been kept in a garage almost its whole life ! The paint is red, looks like well faded. Don't know if its the origonal or not , but it could be .
