whats a good resto book/ or set of books

im looking into getting some bodywork and paint and such books

are there any you recomend

are there any good 72 challenger service manuels, i heard the original ones werent very good

For bodywork and painting I thought the Paintucation DVDs were really good.  They are on VHS also.

If any of them interest you, look around.  You can find them cheaper.

i have a book cant remeber who the author is buts its been very helpful the name is plymouth barracuda and dodge challenger restoration guide!

Theres a book by Paul Herd called the Authentic Restoration Guide Challenger and Barracuda Restoration Guide 1967-1974

Also the Factory Service Manual is good.

I sure hope you take the info in the book with a grain of salt.  Too bad it isn't printed on softer paper, at least then it would have a good use.

I do not have Herd's book, but I did see one at a pals place a while ago, I did see some errors. Jim Schild's book is full of incorect stuff too.

There are no accurate books on the market that I am aware of. :-(

Pick up the factory service manual as mentioned and the factory parts book (or on CD) and if you have any specific questions ask on this site. :-)
