There is differences,  Cuda's have the 8 3/4 rear axles or larger, they have the 727 automatic trans, and the back tail light section is blacked out.  Barracuda's for the most part were not built as strong.  The suspension for the most part were not as heavy and could not take the punishment the cuda could.  Barracuda's had a 904 automatic and had a 8 1/4 rear axle for the most part unless it was a 340 car.  But keep in mind they could have most any option installed on either car.

Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

flashcuda, Which suspension parts have you found to be different?
I've owned several cudas, barracudas and challengers and they have all had the same basic suspension. I've heard people say this before, but I've never found any difference. I've seen three different pitman arms, large spline, small spline and fast ratio. Some of the cars, both barracuda and cuda have front and rear sway bars and of course there are different torsion bars for small and big blocks. The control arms, tie rod assemblies and drag link have all looked the same. I've used six cylinder suspensions on my small block cars and vice-versa. The reason I'm asking is I'm currently installing a crate 426 in my 70 challenger convertible. It was a 318 car originally.

The big block cars do have different Torsion Bars as do almost every engine has a different bar.  The rear leaf springs are different also.  The shocks are also more heavy duty.  The other difference was in the rubber parts were more heavy duty.

I'd agree with all but the rubber being diffrent. Bushings were all the same and common among many car lines.
