I would buy one today if they built one like this as I want the look of the original with all the style that it had.

What would be really cool would be to have a original cuda and challenger and the new ones also.  That is my plan anyways as long as they build the new ones.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Sign me up!!! That is sweet, it would be nice to see if they could build it like that and not like the Charger with with the magnum front end, i like the charger but a Challenger designed like that would really get me to buy one.

If DC makes one like this, their sales would go through the cealing! I'd figure out a way to buy one for sure! But only if they offered it with a hemi.

As soon as the press started praising the Mustang, and D-C started admitting to maybe thinking of a new Challenger to compete with it, D-C has been saying that it will NOT be a retro-inspired style, so I reckon there's not much chance of it looking like this as opposed to a 2-door Magnum hatchback, but....

I have never heard one person say they agreed with D-C's view on this.  Every single person who has ever expressed an opinion on this has said, "I LOVE the Doug Schramm concept, I woulb buy it in a second!", and "God, did they screw up the Charger".

The only ones who seem to be buying new Chargers are bling-blingers and ex-ricers.  I don't know anybody who has one...

D-C better run a reality check, and hire Doug Schramm to design the freakin' thing.  Maybe then people wouldn't print up T-shirts with slogans like, "Real Chargers have 2 doors" and "That ain't a Charger!" (both were T-shirts I saw for sale at Spring Fling!).

The more I think about the new Charger, the more I believe DC was just afraid to commit to a specific market.  If they make the new Challenger in this image, then it will be a pure muscle car.  It should be.  In the Charger's case, they are able to market it as a car with muscle and practical (4 doors) too.

I don't understand why they are afraid though.  I have a new Mustang and I really like it.  The numbers of them they are selling are incredible and they have one for almost every level of income and/or performance.  Found out that they are getting ready to sell a full race (Grand Am Cup) ready version for about $125,000 too!  M-FR500-C is the designation.

HemiDog - I'm wit' ya!

I love the new mustang (except it needs "hips", like the '69's), and if the new Chally looks like a Firepower or baby Magnum, I will be at the Ford dealer the next day!

And I HAVE a Magnum!  I just don't want a two-door version.  I think the Magnum styling looks best on the Magnum, even better than the 300c and Charger, but the Mustang is RIGHT ON!  The really nailed it.

Oh, and I would consider an even swap of my Cuda ragtop for a Ford GT, if anyone is interested!  (I wish! LOL)

Blasphemous thoughts, I know, but geez they really got it together over at Phord compared to D-C....

Part of the reason I say this is that my Magnum R/T has been at the dealers for 36 days straight.  No, this is not a typo, it has been there over a month while they try to get the anti-theft to stop crapping out.  According to CA lemon laws, I can now revoke my acceptance of the vehicle, and cancel out of the whole purchase.

I may do that, and head across the street to the Ford dealer......  Is the Mustang as kick-a$$ as it looks?  What model and color did you get?  Are you loving it?

I have a 2005 Roush stage 1.  It has been to the shop for several of the common issues they had with the first year.  The fuel was tank replaced because at 80% of the gas pumps, it would kick the pump off due to the back pressure.  The new tank is re-designed and in all the new ones.  Roush issued recall on passenger seat sensor.  That is only a problem with the new Roush seats.  And the "Smart Box" was replaced to fix my dash lights that were flickering.  Ever since those things were fixed, it has been doing great.
