I'm trying to track down my fathers 70 challenger. I would like to see if anyone knows anything about this car or its possible location.

Here are some details:

I know the car was an R/T 440  w/ slapstick auto. It was originally black with a blue metallic hood center and trunk but it was repainted "all White" prior to my father selling it.

The most distinctive thing about this car was the seats!  The interior was black but the seats had yellow leopard fur   in the centers  front and back.    Ugly as hell.

We lived in Hauppauge, Long Island and the car was sold in 1984-1985 to a man I think from NJ who had plans on restoring it.

I don't have the vin#  yet, but I’m trying to get it from old insurance records.

Any leads or ideas, would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to cuda-challenger.com! Great place here!  Well that sounds like an interesting car but I haven't seen anything like that!  Maybe one of the other members will have a lead for you!  Hope you enjoy the site!!

Welcome to the forum, I sure hope someone here has some info for you.  You may also want to post in the cars wanted section.  Let us know if you find that vin #.

Did it look anything like this one perhaps?

Best of luck with your search. :-)
