SOLD - 1970 Gran Coupe (project car) with Pics
« on: November 12, 2005 - 10:37:46 AM »
OK - Guy never called back so I contacted the next guy who seemed to lose interest. Haven't advertised anywhere other than here. Haven't been in a big hurry.  May still scavenge some parts for my Challenger. Now has a tarp over it and is covered with snow. Car is solid except for trunk. If someone will give me 3000 they can have it otherwise eventually I'll start advertising and sell it sooner or later. Maybe on E-Bay.

I have a 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe (318 auto car). No motor or Trans. 323 Posi, performance hood. I had a 440 in it with an A body 4 speed. So there is some floor modification. Worked pretty good. I used a B body hurst shifter which kept hitting the dash.  Lower quarters have been replaced. Body is pretty solid. The only real rust is trunk floor rotted out (including side extensions) and rust around top of both windows where vynal top was (which I removed). Front window is gone. Someone glued red velour over everything so I removed the interior.  I still have the original interior. The seats are in good shape but they are covered in red velour. I have a black interior from a 72 and the dash from the 72 (pretty good shape. one small crack), also some various black panels from a 70 including a console and seat backs. Looks like it was blue but painted over black . Sat in my garage for 10 years and got pretty dinged up from.   I just got a 71 (318) challenger which I am putting the 440 4speed in so I want to get rid of the Barracuda. Not wanting to part out anything just get rid of all the cuda stuff at once. Anyone have any idea what I should ask for it? Toledo, Ohio. Need to get this bumped.

I'll take that as sarcasm. Is that price unrealistic?

Car is sold. Gee that was quick.  Glad it's not gonna rot away in my yard.  Wish I could of kept it.  Now I can get to work on putting my 440 in my 71 Challenger that I picked up for $7500.  Still undecided whether to go 4-speed or Automatic. It's presently set up for automatic (which would be easier and cheaper).  I never had an automatic muscle car. Are they as much fun as a 4-speed? My first car was a 68 Roadrunner I got for 600 bucks in 1974.  I was looking for a 67 GTO but found the Roadrunner first.  Been into Mopars ever since. I also have owned a 70 Roadrunner, 67 barracuda fastback, 70 challenger and 72 Challenger.

So I'm the first to reply.  You don't call or reply to my email, but it's sold.    I don't get it.

Wow, with 'everybody' talking about E-bodies all being worth millions I'm surprised it's not sold! You are asking a very fair price, and seriously, if you were closer I would definately consider it (I'm in Western Canada). It will sell.
