Hi 57Hemicuda.
I like your project. Very nice. Is that a crate motor or a 5.7 out of a car?
What kind of coil packs are those?
Ware do you live I would like to look at car in person. If you live in TX.

My project is very similar. I have a 5.7 out of a 2005 300c going into my 70 cuda.
My is on hold right now 3 kids very little funds going into project.
I did a test fit on my motor and ended up building my own motor mounts.
I just installed some frame rail conectors, pulled motor back out and I'am in the process of painting the motor.
I think I'am going to put the 273 comp cam in while I have the motor out.
Some one on the thehemi.com fourm seems to think this cam wil not work with MDS motors.
I will need to check into that.

I am doing a little here and there.
Here are some pictures.

Thanks

I'd go with an Alterkation and stay far from the Magnum Force K member.

i'm in maryland,my engine management is ls1 camaro,so i had to use ls1 coils,16 of them.on an ls1 coil drivers are part of the coil, not in the computer.i also have an ls6 in a 68 camaro done several harnesses thru the years,so i'm comfortable with it.for a novice i wouldn't recommend this set up.fast or one of the other engine management companies would be much easier, kind of pricey though.just be sure to stay away from the factory chrysler stuff, trust me if you want to go fast, its not for you.did alot of custom stuff.custom built valve covers, adapter to run camaro throttle bodyto get away from th drive by wire .sorry about the picture can't figure out how to format for this screen, starts out normal sized, ends up humungus.the mds is done in the the lifters,if you pull the intake you can see the lifter dump solenoids.i would assume you could remove solenoids change valve gear back to normal and run any cam you want.my motor has the solenoid holes there just plugged off .can't seem to get pictures right, try going to:
