Paint for the Beast
« on: November 16, 2005 - 05:20:28 PM »

I am thinking about repainting the beast over the winter. I am not concerned with it being the color that came original on this car, but I would like to stay with the colors that were available on this model. Where can I go see the colors that were available on my car? Is there anywhere that has a list with comparison chips? Thanks in advance...........Oldschool

I'd have to agree both colors look killer on Barracuda's. Silver with the black Barracuda stripe down the side would look mean. Here's a link to a couple types of stripes for the Barracuda, I kinda like the stripe across the bottom.

Black would also be cool. I used to have a black 67 fastback, and it just looks....well.....EVIL!!!

Yeah they do look good. I think a flat black decal on a gloss coat would rock!! Stealthy and not in your face.

Panther pink probibly wasnt available on your car, but you gotta admit, it would get noticed.

Go Panther Pink!!!

Hmm, there weren't too many color options to choose from in '69. (F8 Green is the most widely used color I've ever seen on most '69 models I see.)  With that said, choosing a High Impact color from the '70 models' line would probably give you some of the coolest paint jobs for the 'beast'.  Limelight or Curious Yellow could look amazing on your car.

Old School,
Since we have a Black Cuda and a Panther Pink Cuda I say Black or Panther Pink or Sassy Grass would be pretty and Rally Red with Black stripes.  Can you have someone do a photo shop with different colors?  If you could have someone take a picture of your Cuda and put different colors on it with different stripes then you could get a better idea of what it would look like.  Whatever color you pick it will look awsome.  How about Sparkle Orange from the Prowlers?  That would look great or Tangerine Orange.
